Privacy Policy
Introduction
Moneynavero ("Moneynavero," "we," "us") publishes this Privacy Policy to describe the categories of information we collect from visitors to our website, the purposes for which we use that information, and the choices and rights you have regarding it. By using the site you accept the practices described below; if you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
Information We Collect
Our web servers and edge providers automatically receive certain information from your device whenever you request a page on Moneynavero: IP address, request headers (including browser type and accepted languages), the resource requested, and the time of the request. Some of this is stored for a short period in access logs; the rest is processed in memory and discarded.
Some features of Moneynavero are designed for you to provide information voluntarily. If you subscribe to our newsletter you give us your email address (and, optionally, your name); if you use the Contact form you give us the details of your message; if you send us a press release or tip, we receive whatever you choose to put in the body of that email. We collect only what you submit, and we use it only for the purpose for which you submitted it.
How We Use Your Information
Moneynavero processes the information described above for clearly limited purposes: to deliver the content you request, to fulfill subscriptions or inquiries you initiate, to keep the service secure and operational, to understand aggregate site usage so we can make editorial decisions, and to meet legal or regulatory requirements where they apply. We do not engage in profile-based advertising sales of personal data.
Where European data-protection law applies, we rely on the following bases for our processing activities: legitimate interest (for site operation, security, and aggregate analytics); consent (for marketing communications and optional non-essential cookies); contractual necessity (for delivering subscription content you have requested); and legal obligation (for retention of records we are required to keep). You may withdraw consent at any point without affecting prior lawful processing.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores when you visit a website. Moneynavero uses both essential cookies (which the site needs to function) and, with your consent in jurisdictions where consent is required, optional cookies for analytics and advertising. You may decline or delete cookies at any time, although doing so may disable some features. We honor browser-level signals such as Global Privacy Control.
Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on a small set of third-party service providers to operate Moneynavero: a cloud-hosting provider for our servers, a content-delivery network and edge security provider, an email-delivery provider for our newsletter, and an analytics provider for aggregate visitor metrics. Each of these vendors processes data on our behalf under written contractual terms that restrict use of the data to the services we contract for.
Advertising
Where Moneynavero displays advertising — typically through Google AdSense or a similar reputable network — those advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver ads based on previous visits to our site or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads and via the industry portals at https://optout.aboutads.info (United States) and https://www.youronlinechoices.com (European Union).
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or to comply with our legal obligations. Newsletter subscribers' email addresses are kept until they unsubscribe (at which point the record is moved to a suppression list and is no longer used for marketing). Contact-form submissions are retained for up to 24 months for follow-up and recordkeeping. Server access logs are retained for up to 90 days.
Your Privacy Rights
Residents of California and the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and certain other jurisdictions have specific rights with respect to their personal information. These typically include rights of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, opt-out of sale or sharing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by the applicable law.
Children's Privacy
Moneynavero is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete the information.
International Data Transfers
Some of the third-party processors we rely on are headquartered or operate servers in jurisdictions other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. Where such international transfers occur from jurisdictions that restrict them, we put in place appropriate safeguards — typically Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms — before any transfer takes place.
Security
Moneynavero takes reasonable measures to safeguard the personal information in our care. Site traffic is encrypted with HTTPS; access to operational systems is restricted to authorized personnel under formal access controls; and we maintain incident-response procedures to act quickly in the event of a security event. While no online system is invulnerable, we treat the security of reader data as a core responsibility.
Changes to This Policy and How to Reach Us
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. For significant changes we will provide additional notice (such as a banner on the site or a note in the newsletter). Privacy-related questions or requests should be sent through the Contact form linked in the footer.
